Learning to teach

The past few weeks, Sundays, have been helping out at the class … still finding my sea-legs.
When I learnt to drive I suddenly realised at the age of 56 that the world looked different from behind the steering wheel.
Everything takes on a different perspective when you begin to teach … familiar moves become questions of what starts and what follows, what is the best way of communicating a change, what is the best time to interrupt and correct an error.
Every Sunday is now a trial and error learning experience … but thoroughly stimulating.
